An organic white from the Di Carlo family. Think ripe pear, nectarine and a little citrus, with a fresh mineral finish. Lovely with cheese, or simply as your first glass of the evening.
Valpolicella Classico
David Sterza · Veneto, Italy
David Sterza started making wine from his family’s grapes instead of selling them on. This is his fresh, fragrant red from the heart of Valpolicella, one to open with dinner, especially if pasta is involved.
Gavi di Gavi
La Chiara · Piedmont, Italy
Made from Cortese grapes by the Bergaglio family. Rounded and fresh, with hints of apricot and citrus. A lovely bottle for seafood, grilled fish or a long lunch.
Cavallo Pazzo
Daniele Caracristi · Trentino, Italy
Pinot Grigio, but not as you know it. Daniele gives the pink-skinned grapes time on their skins, making a fresh, characterful wine with a little colour. “Crazy horse” is a nod to his father, and a good place to start if you fancy trying something different.
La Vilane
Sin Prisa Sin Pausa · Roussillon, France
Robin and Eve work their small vineyards slowly and by hand, giving the land time to recover. La Vilane is their Muscat-led white: a bottle for someone who wants to try a wine with a story behind it.
Barbaresco

A Nebbiolo from a small family estate in Barbaresco, where the Bianco family has worked with grapes from the Ovello vineyards for generations. A bottle to take your time over, perhaps with a mushroom supper or a special dinner.
